Global Career Development with Internship

UPCOMING DATES & PRICES

The Global Career Development Internship Program (GCDIP) is an 8 week, full-time program geared towards international undergraduate students preparing for a professional career. The program provides practical intercultural communication and presentation skills and, in addition to classroom training, students have the opportunity to participate in a local internship* placement to learn first-hand about Canadian workplace culture.

The curriculum helps students review their career planning and teaches you to effectively present yourself to multinational employers by giving you the tools to:

  • communicate career interests, skills and accomplishments despite language, cultural or environmental barriers
  • structure a professional profile and an ePortfolio
  • work with culturally different people, who may have different motivations, work styles and values

There are approximately 240 hours of structured activities in the classroom, workplace and community involved in completing the Global Career Development Internship Program.
